There is a lot of construction going on in our neighborhood. New Metro stops are being made and there is an enormous site where a park once sat, where a lot of the tunneling is being coordinated. Each of the construction sites around the development of the Metro has these giant ugly green walls on its perimeter. There is the expected graffiti and horrendous “street art” that has popped up on them. There are also a bunch of curated projects that are being put up as well. Most are not very inspired or interesting. However, we were out for a walk last Sunday and were really happy to encounter this wall of bird houses made by students at a local school to resemble iconic buildings of Nørrebro.

Even the original Ungdomshuset (The Youth House) makes an appearance and is restored to its rightful location in Nørrebro!

We are really happy about this new habitat for birds done in such a wonderful, joyful project. More of this please!
